Hello, my name is Helen.

I consider myself to be an approachable, warm, empathetic person who will provide a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming space in which we can talk about any problems or worries that you might be facing.

I work in a person-centred way with integrative skills if needed to help you further. Carl Rogers (one of the founders of person centred counselling) believes that all people have the ability to reach their full potential. My aim is to help you work towards this full potential by ‘walking alongside’ you in your journey and by facilitating your sessions in a way that, between us, you grow. I believe that my counselling relationship with a client built in this way, your potential can be discovered and reached.

For the last three and a half years I have experienced working in a Hospice and recognise that loss can mean many things. There are varying types of losses in our lives that affect all of us differently. This is just one of the areas that I work in. So, if you are struggling with anything that matters to you, I look forward to meeting you  and we’ll start our journey together.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their ethical framework.
